Jane on Jeans is Coming Soon
The next big thing from The Only Jane is a newsletter about jeans.
If you received this letter, chances are you signed up to get emails from Jean Stories or The Only Jane, the clothing line that I design and that is best known for a signature jumpsuit called Jump One. I’m doing something new here and I want to include you. Let me explain…
Before jumpsuits, I loved jeans.
I still love jeans.
So as part of The Only Jane I am starting a newsletter that’s all about the best jeans and where to get them (this includes jean jackets, jean skirts, and, of course, jean jumpsuits). I’m calling it Jane on Jeans and I see it as two things: First, it is a natural extension of what I’m designing for fall at Jane (Hint: more denim pieces). And second, it is a meaningful way for me to go deeper into a part of the fashion industry that is really important. I have spent more than twenty years working around jeans. I’ve sold them in my family’s stores; I’ve written about them for magazines like Vogue and T: The New York Times Style Magazine; I’ve collaborated with the designers who make them at places like Gap and Levi’s. I’ve talked to hundreds of people about their favorite pairs and traveled the world learning about how jeans are made for JeanStories.com. No matter where life takes me – to New York, Los Angeles, or London – I always come home to jeans.
The first Jane on Jeans newsletter will be published next week. I’ve been working on it for a while and I hope it will be an inspiring place to shop and share stories. It’s currently free and will be delivered directly to your inbox. If you’re not interested, unsubscribe (I won’t be offended!). If you have ideas or a pair you want to tell me about, please reply to this email. There are few things I enjoy more than helping people find jeans they love. Designing them is up there. Lucky me, I’m now doing both.
Thank you for continuing to read, shop, and follow my work.
Jane
