So Many Good Things & Jeans
The Lee x J.Crew collaboration, notes from a quick trip to London, and what's happening with me and the business this spring.
On Thursday, Lee jeans launched a collaboration with J.Crew, marrying two great families of American style: Heritage denim and East Coast prep. It’s a solid meet-cute, where Lee’s sturdy classics, like the Storm Rider jacket (iconic), get the Olympia Gayot / J.Crew treatment (add casual-cool stripes; sub polished white denim); and J.Crew gets to cosplay real, rugged Western wear. Though I missed the launch party at Clark Street Diner in L.A. on account of being in London last week, I did manage to get one of the capsule’s garment dyed Western shirts (how cute with a bandana). I love the kids’ clothes!
