The Vintage Jacket for Jeans
An off-the-radar designer is my search term for great spring outerwear.
Last year, at a party at the L’Agence Jeans Shop on Melrose Place, the brand’s co-founder and creative director Jeff Rudes was wearing the most fantastic trench coat. I told him I loved it as we kiss-kissed hello. “Vintage,” he said, and walked away.
I forgot about the coat (sort of), until two weeks ago, when a box from Jeff wrapped in wild, paisley-like paper arrived at my parents’ house.
