UPDATE: This letter was part of my annual Thanksgiving Sale, which has now ended; the code is deactivated. I have chosen not to delete this letter because there is useful information about Jump One in it, and some nice notes from customers in the Comments. If you’re interested in purchasing a jumpsuit, they are always available at TheOnlyJane.com. Rose is still 50% off, Ecru Denim is 20% off, and a handful of indigo Denim jumpsuits (size 10) are 70% off (final sale). Discounts are applied at checkout.
When I first introduced Jump One, my signature jumpsuit, I would often say I designed it to feel like your favorite pair of jeans. Good. Reliable. I made it to last and to live in. If you read this letter, I’m sure you get the sentiment.
The majority of my jumpsuits are made of the finest Japanese cotton twill, but I do offer two in denim: Jump One in Ecru is cut from reclaimed denim that I source responsibly, sew locally (all of my clothes are Made in L.A.), and hold to a high environmental standard. For those who may not know, ecru is the un-dyed, unbleached, and unwashed version of a fabric. My ecru denim is the prettiest off-white, sturdy but not stiff (2% stretch), and the backside is brushed so it feels incredibly soft on the skin. I sold hundreds of this jumpsuit when it was featured in the Wall Street Journal’s Off Duty section. It’s currently 30% off with code THANKS23. If you’re between sizes, size up as it does shrink 1/4 inch all around after washing.
The indigo version of Jump One is made of soft, chambray-like Italian denim – I only have a few left in size 10 and they are 70% off (no code needed). My denim jackets are on sale, too.
I know we’re all jean people here, but the over-dyed cotton twill version of Jump One is the workhorse of my personal wardrobe. The colors that I only ever put on sale this time of year – Forest (which I’m wearing), Midnight, and French Blue – are 30% off. Rose, which is a dusty pink designed for those of us who don’t wear pink – is 50% off. If you have any questions about fit or fabric, reply to this email. I’m here to help.
I hope everyone had a delicious holiday. My cup is full and my jeans feel tight. If you choose to give Jump One a try, I’d love it. If you already have a jumpsuit, writing about it in the comments would make me very happy. Thank you for reading, shopping, sharing, liking, and being with me here. Your support is everything.
Jane
I just wanted to say I started following Junkyard Jeans because of you and I scored their 100% off deal today! Thank you for all introducing me to them and thanks also for the sick Substack :)
Also, a reference for those who grew up in the 70s/80s: The pants flatter my rear in the same way Dittos did ... but the leg is straight and not flared. Pretty amazing for me to fit into pants 'off the rack' with no tailoring the way I did these ones.
