This is the only way you can get me back to low/mid rises. The lacey one is very cute.

I should also mention the lacey one is really soft!

YES x yes x yes. If you joined CAKE (Irene Kim had memberships -- more on CAKE soon!) -- there is a lovely savings CAKE card for Fleur du Mal, which is a brand I love. I also think the Miu Miu options looks good b/c there's less to bunch there. I wonder if I couldn't have the dry cleaner turn regular boxers into that shape for a lot less than the Mius. XOXOXO Thanks as always, Jane!

Fleur du Mal is in my CAKE wallet as we speak… as a card carrying member of the #menopausefifteen (which I have written about on my substack) I could not love the lower rise jeans coupled with chic support systems. Having worked at Calvin, albeit post Kate's era, I am forever into the brand's undies as well.

Please let me know if you have any luck with the dry cleaner tailoring hack.

Hi Jane these look great I’ve instinctively been wearing shape wear under my jeans lately as had seen some looks and you’ve confirmed I’m doing the right thing! Plus …. Comfort….!

Just wondering what size you buy in vintage Levi’s to get that great boyfriend look you’ve got? I’m imagining quite a few sizes? Is that a 501 pictured? Is that a whole other Substack? 🤪

Thanks for your denim passion it’s awesome 💙🙏🏻

I buy a size 29 or 30 in vintage 501s. I’m a 24 in most contemporary jeans. And yes, it may be a whole other Substack! But try Meg at Jean Genie vintage and tell her your size and show/tell her how you want them to fit. She can make recs!
