Thank you for this perfect guide! I’ve been telling myself all summer to get secondhand men’s jeans to cut off into this exact length, this is the push I needed.

Love the diagonal-cut tip! I just tried it with a vintage pair of 505s I was never sure of full-length but as cut-offs, I now love them so much.

Love. 505s are a great style for cut-offs because of the wider thigh.

I use a sandpaper block to rough up the bottom of the cut offs. It looks more worn in than tumbling in the dryer, and you can wear it right away

I love to use a rotary cutter as my scissoring skills cannot be trusted!

I have a few boxes of vintage Levi's that don't fit quite right, so I'm going to try this. Thanks for the great instructions. Thank you also for the Paige Bermuda jeans recommendation - I wore them non-stop on our summer trip!

Your last paragraph hitting us with some philosophy and the rest with perfect wisdom! This is brilliant. Saved for future reference. My first-ever pair of black (skinny jeans) I bought in 2010 and have clung on to out of devotion but not worn for many years due to VERY unsightly knee holes are going to get the Jane on Jeans cut-off treatment. Thank you for your service 💅
