Things ramped up the minute I returned from Mexico. (So much so that I had no time for last weekend’s letter, who noticed?) My top work priority: To photograph the new TOJ jeans and jackets. They are coming so soon! Right after the holidays. And can I tell you how good it felt to see them on set, on a woman who is not my fit model? (Because of course they fit my fit model, they were built on her.) What a dream/relief. It made me want to design more jeans immediately.
Since the shoot and a trunk show with friends (below), a difficult family thing has come up and I’m currently very busy caring for a loved one. Let the brevity of this letter reflect that.
I want to quickly mention the trunk show I did in Los Angeles at the beginning of the week, though, because it was a lot of fun and a complete look – my jeans, Danielle’s jewelry (if you’ve been reading me for a beat, you know I wear Sherman Field daily), and Jenni Lee’s exquisite Comme Si socks and sets.
was there swirling her good energy and great style around the room. Uniform’s stopped by. As someone who sells almost exclusively online, seeing my clothes on real customers was so informative. I must do more trunk shows in 2025. (Has the resolution-making started yet because that’s mine.)OK, that’s all for today. Thank you for reading. Liking this post is a great way to support my work. If you want a quick fix, get an Anchor Charm for your jeans – you can attach it to the belt loops on any pair you already own. Until next time, Denim Forever.

Beach trip packing, simplified.
Night Jeans are holiday party jeans, too.
Someone stops me to ask about these every time I wear them.
I only noticed no post because I love reading JoJ, but life, care and love are more important. I hope both you and your loved one are OK. Sending a big hug.
I hope you are okay, Jane. A jeans question for you when you have capacity: what would be a good alt for the cult Nili Lotan Joan jeans for short girls? They’re cut for very tall ones!
