I come from a family of retailers. Selling clothes to people in shops is something I absolutely love to do. It’s social, it’s helpful, and I’m good at it. I could be great at it if I did it more often. A not-so-small part of me wants to.

This week I had the pleasure of organizing a pop-up at my friend Jenna Cooper’s store in Hollywood. Together with fellow L.A. designers
, Jamie Haller, and Milk Teeth’s Catherine Newell-Hanson and Rebecca Calavan, Jenna and I welcomed friends and fans to shop our collections in support of local fire aid. It was fun! In fact, it was so much fun we decided to keep the pop up open for one more day.The WE ❤️ L.A. POP-UP is open TODAY. Saturday, February 22 from 11am - 5pm @ +COOP. 7378 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90035.

The video that opens this post is of The Only Jane’s Bob, my barrel-y legged jean with a twisted side seam. In the video I explain some of the style’s secret features and how to use the Anchor Charm as a safety hook for reading glasses (I am really trying to break the habit of putting my glasses on my head because doing so puts a kink in my bob, the haircut, that isn’t so cute; it’s hard!). The socks I’m obsessed with are Maria de la Rosa’s Constellation socks. Below are more photos from the pop-up.

Top to bottom: Jenna and I in matching Bobs; Clare V’s Los Angeles Je T’Aime tee and Black Fanny Pack; me and TOJ’s Chief of Staff Robyn at our shop-in-shop – she wears the Sally and I’m in the Bob with the Trip in Jet; Jenna gave this master list of neighborhood design stores to an out-of-town shopper who came to try my jeans and buy furniture; Me & Clare & Jamie & Greta; Clare V’s Batteau Tote and Moyen Messenger with this strap.

I’m back next week with non-pop-up content. If you came to shop +COOP already, thank you. I’m donating 10% of all proceeds from the event to the Pasadena Educational Foundation’s Eaton Fire Fund and Mama2Mama, which provides postpartum doulas and pregnancy support to displaced families. The ways this event has connected people to each other and good clothing is wonderful. Denim Forever.
