Hi! I just found your column a couple weeks ago and I’m really enjoying it. I recently ordered three pairs of vintage Levi’s from different places. One pair has obvious vertical lines in the denim down the legs. I’m wondering what this is called? What size jeans are you wearing? In most of your pictures?

Hi Heather, Thanks for reading! You can send me the picture of your vintage jeans by replying to this email in your Inbox. Or, email it to me at info@theonlyjane.com. I am 5'4" and 112lbs and I wear a size 25 in most contemporary jeans, and a waist size 29" in vintage Levi's. I hope this helps!

Hi Jane!! LOVE this newsletter! Will you remind us (just for comp purposes) how tall you are? I love the loose crop you’re wearing today but I’m 5’10” and worry it will be too short!

Hi Katie, Thank you for reading! I’m 5’4”. Depending on your size, they could work (the inseam should be longer on bigger sizes), but they’ll definitely be higher up the ankle on you.

Jane, this is my new favorite read. Thank you! Before I found you, jeans were a very frustrating thing for me. In the past week, I've found and now love two new pairs of jeans...Ayr's Secret Sauce and Citizen of Humanity's Neve. Your styling ideas are terrific as well.

Kim, I am so happy to help, it's the reason I started this letter – to make it easier to find great jeans. I love the Secret Sauce, too... it's crazy-flattering. Thank you for reading.
